Martha A. Henry, Ed.D., President
Since founding M.A. Henry Consulting in 1993, Marty Henry has committed herself to helping clients ensure that their visions and goals are realized. Marty has been project director and curriculum developer and writer for various nationally disseminated integrated curriculum projects. With experience as a classroom teacher in grade levels K-16, she has consulted in professional development for aligning district curriculum to national and state standards across all content areas culminating in the development of curriculum units and lesson plans. As a teacher of teachers, Marty brings a complete understanding of the American educational system and its issues to her work with schools, school districts and the national and community organizations that seek to assist them. Her evaluation and research experience, through six years with the Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning (McREL) and as faculty member at the University of Missouri – St. Louis and Maryville University, has prepared her for the close collaborations on which the work of firm depends. Marty earned her doctorate from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.

Keith S. Murray, CEO
Keith Murray brings more than 20 years experience in public and private sector project management and research to his work at M.A. Henry Consulting. Developing his skills in the public health and medical fields, he directed six statewide data collection and management projects in four states and served as Information Officer for the Colorado Department of Health and Environment. His interview, instrumentation and training experience came with his founding and directing the Colorado Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System and participating in numerous research projects with the Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine and the U.S. Veterans Administration. Working as grants manager, major gifts officer and planned giving director for the St. Louis Science Center and other non-profit organizations, Keith developed a strong grasp of private and public funders nationwide and their needs, as well as an understanding of partnership as the basis for excellence in programming and evaluation. He has worked with Marty Henry since 2002.

Katherine A. Phillips, Ph.D., Senior Evaluator
Combining a deep interest in science education with professional experience in nuclear engineering and in the classroom as a high school teacher, Kathy’s rich background adds to the breadth of skill sets M.A. Henry Consulting can offer. Her concentration on cultural barriers to success in education and careers in science and on gender equity issues offer insights into programmatic design and implementation aimed at reducing the achievement gap. She has worked in curriculum development, teacher professional development, and evaluation for the last 11 years. Her areas of research prior to that time included robotic applications in nuclear and environmental restoration, in which she served as project administrator and grant writer.
